Last Chance for Crabgrass Control in Ontario
Crabgrass grows primarily in southern Ontario and can be a major problem. Crabgrass is an annual weed that grows from seed every year. Crabgrass will spread from a central root and can choke out your grass. In late summer each crabgrass plant can produce thousands of seed to start the process over the next spring. If left unchecked crabgrass can overtake your lawn in a few of years.
The easiest way to control crabgrass is to apply a fertilizer with crabgrass preventer in the spring. This usually means applying crabgrass preventer before the crabgrass germinates (pre-emergent). Golfgreen Lawn Fertilizer with Crabgrass Control can be used for both pre-emergent and post-emergent applications. Post-emergent can be applied up to the three-leaf stage. THIS IS RIGHT NOW! If you would like to keep your lawn free of crabgrass, then don’t delay. Remember to always read the label before using and follow all directions and precautions.
